While the CCIM Institute is recognized as one of the preeminent commercial real estate
networks in the world, "education is the true foundation of our organization," says 2015
Institute President Mark Macek, CCIM, president and owner of Macek Companies, in
Great Falls, Mont.
In the new year, Macek intends to focus much of the Institute's energy on expanding
its new blended learning educational delivery model across the entire curriculum while
continuing to f ne-tune the format. "T e goal of our educational platform is to pro-
vide focused, relevant, and timely education," he says. "What makes CCIM's
education so unique and unmatched in the industry is that it is taught by
some of the best practitioners in the commercial real estate business."
With more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate bro-
kerage, property management, and development, Macek also plans to
broaden the CCIM brand. "One of my goals is to enhance CCIM's
image in the commercial real estate industry to ensure our clients
understand the added value of working with a CCIM designee," he
says. "Increasing awareness of our brand and the value it represents
will have a signif cant impact on the success of our members."
As a longtime member of CCIM's Board of Directors as well as
a member of the Strategic Planning Committee, Member Services
Committee, and Legislative Af airs Subcommittee, Macek's keen under-
standing of the Institute will guide the organization in its quest to pro-
vide improved services for members. "Our
mission is to elevate our members to the
highest levels of success in our profession,"
he says. "It is a privilege to serve our mem-
bers in CCIM's ongoing ef orts to educate,
designate, and support the best commercial
real estate practitioners in the world."
