By using funds from CCIM Institute's Designation Promotion Matching Grant for CCIM chapters, the New York Metro CCIM Chapter hosted a sold-out networking breakfast discussion on April 14 at the New York Stock Exchange. e event, with more than 100 CCIMs participating, featured a discussion of economic and real estate trends with Ted Jones, chief economist at Stewart Title, and Jim Costello, senior vice president at Real Capital Analytics. Nationally, CCIM Institute promoted the CCIM brand to more than 1,000 CCIMs and visitors at ICSC RECon in Las Vegas, May 22–25. CCIMs booked more than 260 tables to meet with their clients at CCIM's exhibit booth. Our alliance with the Asian Real Estate Association of America continued with prominent CCIMs among the featured speakers, including CCIM Senior Instruc- tor Carmela Ma, CCIM, at AREAA's Commercial National Forum in Las Vegas, May 21. As international commercial investors from Asia continue to seek credentialed professionals they can trust to structure deals in the United States, many look to CCIMs. Another strategic alliance continues as CCIM partners with ALM Real Estate Media Group — publishers of Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com, as well as organizers of RealShare conferences — for our annual conference, CCIM rive, Oct. 24–25, at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead. Members are also encouraged to attend the governance meetings, Oct. 24–28, which help to drive the vision of CCIM Institute and shape its role in our industry.
