The keyboard uses a new butterfl y mechanism for typing that allows for a more stable response with keys that are 17 percent larger than previous versions. The 12-inch LED-display measures 0.88 mm, the Mac's thinnest retina display ever. The LED backlight is 30 percent more energy effi cient than previous MacBook displays . The redesigned Force Touch track pad lets users adjust the amount of pressure it takes to click. The pad also responds to differences in applied pressure to let users perform different tasks. Slimmed-Down Innovation S O LUTI O N S Secure Signatures SigniX provides electronic signature services for Internet- connected devices. Users can send a document to multiple signers simultaneously or have them sign sequentially. The status of a document is tracked in real- time and users are notifi ed via email when a document is available for review. SigniX software includes detailed event logs for signed documents and tamper protection. SigniX comes in three different packages and pricing starts at $9.95 per month. Virtual Reality Real Estate Matterport uses a specialized camera to capture interior spaces and create a 3D replica of a property with images overlaid onto all surfaces. The software creates 3D models that contain property measurement data and allows users to walk through the property, view as a dollhouse, or see the fl oor plan. The model can be viewed online using any computer or Apple iPad. Prior to sharing, a user can reconfi gure spaces, including fl ooring, paint, structures, and more. Viewers can see the status of construction projects and get details for purchasing decisions. The Matterport camera costs $4,500. Microwaveable Notes Note-takers can create digital copies of their handwritten notes and designs using the Rocketbook notebook and mobile app by Rocket Innovations. The 8.5- x 11-inch Rocketbook contains 50 sheets of paper and comes with a Pilot FriXion pen. Heating the notebook in the microwave for 30 seconds erases the pen's heat-sensitive ink to allow for continuous usage. Each page contains icon "buttons" for personalized organization in Evernote, Google Docs, Dropbox, or email. Once your document is ready to be digitized, the Rocketbook app captures and uploads the documents using your predetermined button categories.
